Made in Korea is a simple, emotional drama directed by Ra. Karthik. The film follows a young woman from Tamil Nadu who moves to South Korea chasing her dream, only to discover that life in a foreign country isn’t as easy as she imagined.
Story
The story centers on Shenba, a girl from a small hill town in Tamil Nadu who has been obsessed with Korean culture since childhood. Her love for K-dramas is so intense that she even climbs on top of an elephant just to catch a weak internet signal — a moment that shows how badly she wants to be part of that world.
With big dreams, she finally moves to Seoul. But reality hits quickly.
After being let down by her boyfriend, Shenba finds herself completely alone in a new country. She struggles with language, culture, and loneliness, slowly realizing that the dream she imagined is very different from real life.
