Story
Sankranthiki Vasthunam follows Y.D. Raju, a former encounter specialist who has left behind his adventurous police career to enjoy a peaceful family life with his wife, Bhagyalakshmi.
His quiet life is turned upside down when his former girlfriend, DCP Meenakshi, seeks his help to rescue a kidnapped NRI businessman. What begins as a dangerous rescue mission soon transforms into a hilarious journey when Bhagya insists on accompanying them, creating constant friction between the wife and the ex-lover.
As romance, action, and comedy collide, Raju must complete the mission while balancing two strong personalities determined to keep him under control.
Plot Summary
NRI businessman Satya Akella arrives in India for an important government business project but is kidnapped by a notorious criminal gang led by Biju Pandey, who plans to use him as leverage to free his imprisoned brother.
With the situation becoming increasingly dangerous, suspended police officer Y.D. Raju is brought back to assist DCP Meenakshi in the rescue operation. However, things become chaotic when Raju’s wife Bhagya joins the mission, leading to hilarious misunderstandings, emotional moments, and action-packed confrontations.
