About the Movie
Haiwaan is an upcoming Hindi-language crime thriller directed and co-written by Priyadarshan. The film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam film Oppam and stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Saiyami Kher in key roles.
The film brings Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together on screen again after 18 years. It combines crime, psychological tension, action, and suspense, with a visually impaired martial artist at the center of the story.
Produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, Haiwaan also features Mohanlal in a cameo appearance. It marks the final film appearance of Asrani, who passed away in October 2025.
Story
The Haiwaan story follows a visually impaired man who was once a highly trained martial artist. Despite his blindness, he possesses extraordinary senses and instincts that allow him to navigate dangerous situations.
His life takes a dramatic turn when he becomes entangled in a series of brutal murders masterminded by a cunning and elusive killer. Wrongly accused of the crimes, he must fight to prove his innocence while uncovering the truth behind the murders.
At the same time, he is forced to protect a girl child who has become a target of the psychopath killer. With the threat growing closer, he must use his heightened senses, martial arts skills, and determination to track down the real culprit and save the innocent victim.
The film combines crime, action, psychological thriller elements, suspense, and a cat-and-mouse chase between its central characters.
