Story and Plot
Amruthraj, affectionately known as Ammu, is a successful café owner from the Aanjilimoottil family. Although he is interested in getting married, finding a suitable bride proves difficult. His family has a long-standing superstitious reputation, with people believing that women who marry into the household are cursed. As a result, Ammu faces repeated rejections from prospective brides and their families.
His life takes a different turn when he meets Sneha Markose and falls in love with her. Sneha belongs to a close-knit family that includes her younger sister Sophie, their father Markose, their aunt Mercy and Mercy’s daughter Mili. Both Sneha and Sophie are initially engaged to brothers Joel and Tom.
Markose is particularly protective of the women in his family because he has witnessed the difficulties of Mercy’s abusive marriage. Against this backdrop of family expectations and complicated relationships, Ammu and Sneha’s romance moves towards marriage.
However, their journey is far from simple. The wedding preparations bring a series of humorous misunderstandings and chaotic situations, particularly within Ammu’s unruly household. What begins as a hopeful romantic journey gradually reveals the pressures that can affect a couple’s happiness.
As everyday responsibilities and emotional differences begin to create distance, the couple must find ways to understand each other and protect their relationship. The film explores how love is tested when the excitement of romance gives way to the realities of married life.
