Dude (2025) is an Indian Tamil-language romantic action comedy-drama directed by Keerthiswaran in his directorial debut. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, alongside R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Neha Shetty.
Blending romance, comedy, friendship, and emotional drama, Dude tells a heartwarming coming-of-age story about two childhood friends whose bond is tested by love, life, and unexpected choices.
Story
The story follows Agan and Kuralarasi (Kural), two childhood friends and cousins who share an inseparable bond. Together, they run an event-planning company called Surprise Dude, creating unforgettable moments for weddings, proposals, and celebrations.
Their friendship takes an unexpected turn when Kural confesses her love for Agan. Unsure of his own feelings, Agan rejects her, believing their relationship is better suited as friendship. Heartbroken, Kural leaves for Bengaluru to continue her higher studies and move on with her life.
Admittedly, however, he has other plans. After a life-changing accident, Agan realizes he truly loves Kural and sets out to win her back. As both navigate love, heartbreak, and personal growth, Dude explores whether true friendship can blossom into lasting love.
