Insidious: Out of the Further
Insidious: Out of the Further is an upcoming 2026 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Jacob Chase. The film is the sixth installment in the Insidious franchise and follows a young mother who discovers a terrifying ability connected to the supernatural realm known as The Further.
The film stars Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Lin Shaye, who returns as paranormal investigator Elise Rainier.

Story
The story follows Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the childhood home where she grew up. Her life takes a terrifying turn when she discovers that she has the ability to enter The Further, the mysterious purgatorial realm inhabited by lost souls and supernatural entities.
However, Gemma soon realizes that her ability is different from what she initially believed. She can not only travel into The Further but also bring spirits and other entities from the supernatural realm into the real world.
When malevolent forces discover Gemma’s unusual power, they begin using it to cross into the human world. What begins as a mysterious supernatural ability quickly becomes a terrifying threat to Gemma, her daughter, and everyone around them.
Plot
Gemma returns to the house where she spent her childhood while raising her young daughter. Strange events soon lead her to discover a connection between herself and The Further.
As she learns to navigate the supernatural realm, Gemma discovers that she can interact with entities trapped there. More dangerously, she can pull those entities into the living world.
The demons soon recognize the potential of Gemma’s ability and attempt to exploit it. As supernatural forces invade the real world, Gemma must confront the darkness connected to The Further and protect her daughter from the growing threat.
The film combines supernatural horror, family drama, paranormal mystery, and demonic terror while expanding the mythology of the Insidious universe.
