Story
The story follows Ranjith and Rajesh, the captains of two rival local cricket teams in Arakkonam. Their teams have a long-standing rivalry, with tensions between them extending beyond the cricket ground.
Ranjith’s team represents the colonial side, while Rajesh’s team comes from a more privileged background. Their rivalry becomes even more complicated because of social divisions and discrimination within the local cricket community.
Plot
The conflict between the two teams has its roots in an old incident involving Immanuel, a talented cricket player associated with the Blue Star team. During a heated match, a fight leaves Immanuel seriously injured and permanently disabled. As a result, the rival teams are prevented from playing against each other.
Years later, Ranjith and Rajesh continue their rivalry, but circumstances force them to put aside their differences. When they face opposition from powerful forces that threaten their opportunity to play cricket, the two captains realize they must work together.
Their journey from rivals to friends forms the heart of the film, while the story also addresses social discrimination, inequality, friendship, and the importance of standing together.
