Story and Plot
The story of Bharathanatyam 2: Mohiniyattam begins after the death of Bharathan Nair. Sasidharan Nair, also known as Sasi, travels with his family to Sreekandapuram to meet Rukmini and Ajay, his late father’s second wife and son. Their visit is intended to settle family matters and deal with the unresolved responsibilities left behind by Bharathan Nair.
During their stay, the family meets local residents, including their neighbour Subhash, and tries to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings. However, their visit gradually becomes uncomfortable as old family tensions and hidden issues begin to surface.
An unresolved matter from Bharathan Nair’s past soon leads to an unexpected crime. Faced with a situation they never anticipated, Sasi and his family become involved in a desperate attempt to cover up what has happened.
As the pressure increases, the family must deal with mounting suspicion, complicated relationships and the consequences of their decisions. Their efforts to protect themselves lead to a series of chaotic and darkly humorous situations.
