Maveran (Translation: The Great Warrior) is a 2023 Indian Tamil political action fantasy film directed by Arun Pesawa, featuring Madden of Mandela (2021) fame. Ashwin wrote and directed. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar with mysskin, Yogi Babu, Sunil, Saritha and monisha blessy in supporting roles.
The film begins with a community of slum dwellers, including protagonist Satya (Sivakarthikeyan), who are forced to live in apartments due to government austerity measures. They quickly realized the poor build quality of the apartment.

First of all thank you for your intention. Congratulations to Madden Ashwin for creating a hero movie. Sivakatikyan received a standing ovation for agreeing to play the coward for most of the film. Adity Shankar was praised for his solid script that doesn’t let romantic themes get in the way of the protagonist’s journey.

The supporting cast also did a great job. Salissa, who plays Satya’s mother, brings warmth and emotional depth to the story. Manisha Bharti as Satya’s sister and Yogi Babu as a friend provide him with moments of joy and camaraderie that ease the tense atmosphere. As a cop, Sunil shows versatility and adds an element of intrigue to the story.
Maviran is strong on camera, and Vidhu Aayana’s incredible performance fits the bill. Mocobot’s use of the camera in the Aah scene deserves a special mention.
