Now You See Me: Now You Don’t Tamil Storyline
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse returns with a new generation of magicians and features stunning magic tricks, surprises, and unparalleled special effects. Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Uncharted, Zombieland), the film stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Dominique Sissa, Ariana Greenblatt, Rosamund Pike, and Morgan Freeman. Warning: This film contains flashing lights that may be frightening to those with photosensitive epilepsy. Ten years after the Dark Knight’s last appearance, three young magicians—Charlie Jace, Bosco Leroy, and John Roeckler—use deepfakes and holographic technology to disguise themselves and steal money from a corrupt cryptocurrency exchange owner. They then divide up the loot. They are contacted by the real J. Daniel Atlas, the leader of the Dark Knights, who reveals that he was sent via tarot cards by a secret society of magicians, The Eye, to recruit them for a mission: to steal the Heart Diamond from Veronica Vanderburg, the CEO of a South African diamond company founded by her late father and an expert in money laundering. Meanwhile, Veronica receives a phone call from a man threatening to expose her crimes if she doesn’t hand over the diamond.
The new actors are confidently cast in these iconic roles. This fits the mold of “introducing emerging or established young actors to a film franchise.” In other words, they’re playing real people, not fictional superheroes. Smith, arguably my favorite actor of his generation, has been working on franchises and non-fantasy films for decades. The question is whether he’ll get a chance to explore new facets of his acting talent. The same goes for Greenblatt, while Sissa, best known for “The Good Old Days,” revels in his role as a sort of mini-Atlas (in a way, but not literally).
“Now You See Me” brings the ensemble back together and puts a new twist on many of the series’ typical clichés, though there’s a certain charm to the way these characters pull rabbits out of their hats.
The film takes us into the world of the Four Horsemen, a group of Robin Hood-like magicians who perform secret (and seemingly easy to find) shows that usually give audiences more than they pay for. In reality, they’re part of an elaborate scheme to rob corrupt wealthy people and distribute their wealth to those in need. This is hinted at early in the film, when Daniel J. Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) and his group of magicians (including Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher, who will return for the big movie) perform elaborate and hilarious illusions, with the result always being the same. But what’s the secret? We never see the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in action.
